Being a Christian it's a little hard to not define this as an ignorant, stupid, and insane, if you will, action of an American-Islam family.  I'm refering to the story in the news today of the 9 person family who, when bording on a plane  from florida to Washington, one of the members was overheard saying, 'I wonder if this seat is safe if a bomb goes off.'  Needless to say, all the passengers had to get off the plane and were re-checked and that family wasn't allowed back on the plane.  GOOD.

I know this should be under entertainment, but I'm hoping everyone will see this because  most read the news blogs.  I hadn't heard of this Will Smith movie until today.  I took a friend and my daughter today & wished I had brought more kleenyxes. OMG. It was beautiful and heartwarming and honest.  I would say it is a drama/love story.  Will Smith is an inspiring person.  I loved this movie! I'm still tearing up.

I watched the news  as the reporter told of the lines to Oak Park Mall, as my jaw dropped, last night. Are you kiddin' me? All I'm seeing is Black Friday all over again.    I don't get it...I've got about $1.29 left in my bank account after Christmas shopping...did all these people get gift cards? OR maybe some had a rich aunt give them a piece of the Hope diamond for a gift.  All I know is I had a wonderful time giving this year and now that Christmas is over and Chistmas past is a few days old, I can look back and remember the happy faces as the kids open the splendid gifts I carefully picked out for them. I remember the wrapping paper and the PJ's my hubby got me that I've been wearing day and night since.  I want to relax now and enjoy the coffee and the leftover cheesecake.  Happy New year everyone. I hope it's great for all of us.

My idea of Christmas isn't the gifts, or wrapping paper, or where to find the best deal.  It's what's on my information.

I pray for peace in my family. For loved ones to let the past go and forgive. For love to heal.

This is all I want for Christmas.  If you said a silent prayer for us, thank you.

As I was waiting to check out @ the  supermarket today, I happen to glance @ the headlines on one of the tabloids...Michelle Obama looking all mad, and a picture of Miss Oprah in a less than confident smile.  The title said, 'Back off, there's only room for one first lady @ the White House!'

Let the games begin.

It's pretty bad when you can't give away Chiefs tickets. I think something will be done about this team very soon. Hummmm, bye-bye coach? I hope the fans don't lose faith in our Chiefs---there's always next year.

There ought to be a law regarding disrespect of the American flag.   Get on w/ your life, people---Obama won.  End of story..God is in control so believe it and trust Him.   The way I see it, anyone who disrespects the American flag or our country, shouldn't be trusted and should be watched.

I'll be honest; when I heard the announcement that Mr. Obama is our new President, I was taken back and had to ponder throughout the night how I was going to accept the honor given to him as president of my United States. I must confess, I  was breathless while I sat on my bed, watching the outcome as the '"prize" made his way onto the stage.  I've decided to trust the God I sing about and praise,  to give Mr. Obama wisdom to run our great country. I will trust God to point Mr. Obama in the direction he should take.  I will not behave like most democrats have in the past toward President Bush. Yes, I will pray for  him as well.

Jesus promises that satisfaction will come to those who seek the good things of God. He says that they will be filled-not with the material goods of this world, not with an easy way of life, not with something of limited value that can be taken away from them.....but with the joy and contentment that come from doing God's will. The filled people are the truly happy people in life.

I would be very unhappy w/ the Iowa police dept. for messing up, I.E. finding  the car the 2 kids were in and didn't report it...You know, I'd be curious as to what bone-head made that decision not to get hold of the KCMO police dept.  I'm sure they'll get the bottom of that mess and I'm almost positive heads will roll.  But as a parent who has lost children before  and didn't know where they were, and was franic until I found them, my main concern would be that even though tired, cold and hungry, the kids ended up safe and into the arms of the parents.  No need for discpline in this case, in my opinion.  They learned a terrifying lesson. I'm so thankful they're safe and sound and unharmed.

If I had the opportunity to speak to Fox 4 News, as well as all the other stations, I know I would lose my cool toward the writers as well as the reporters regarding the Precious Doe story.   Unless people have been on another planet, everyone know the details of the murder.  Why, in the name of all that is holy, do you have to continue to tell us the horriffic way she died?  Why do you have to go on and on about the details of her death?!!! Do you know what it does to us who have little ones in our lives?!  DO YOU EVEN CARE?!!!

The photo in the middle of the News Blogs is Sauer Castle.  It's got a long history, located in KCK.  My daughters and I went to see it on Saturday; spoke to the caretaker and it's known to be haunted.

Do you think I'm going to change my position of who I vote for since you stole my McCain-Palin sign out of my yard and everyone else's yard on my street?  You dirty low-down thieves -you are not  only breaking the law, by   vandalizing my property by stealing my signs, you are putting a bad taste in my mouth for the democratic party.

It's amazing to me how, in this election, it has brought out the true colors in people of all ages. A friend of my 18 year old, who has come to visit @ my home on several different occasions, and barely even spoke a word to us, decide to spar against my 15 year old on the fact why Mr. Obama is a better  candidate than Mr. McCain.  He spewd his venon w/ the tongue of a 42 year old instead of young person of 17.  I've decided now, when you enter my home, leave the politics outside the door.  Unless your for McCain and Palin. Then you may come in and have a cup of cappichino.

To forgive is to move forward. The 3 most hardest things in life are 2 trust- have faith- & forgive. Love heals. God is love.
