Michael Vick was violating the law and killing dogs. Help his "Boys" out? Ha! It appears to me that he was in it for the sport of it. Now that he's been sentenced, it's time for him (and us) to move on. I wish him well and hope that he uses his time to his benefit and self-growth. When he gets out, he's out...and hopefully, he'll be wiser and more compassionate...AND choose his "friends" a wee bit better!!

well he has a friend and a fan me I wish him the best and im going to write him and send him cards from more of his fans to let him know he still has fans and we love him and we are going there for him. I mean everyones intitled to s mistake its just not fair how they did him but only god knows y and hes going to get better and im confident he'll play football again I know alot of teams that take chances on players. He is and will remain the best in the league this is just going to make him better by giving him a mental and physical ability to do what he do play football

I don't disagree that people are entitled to mistakes. However, he must have known what he was doing was wrong, which does not make this a mistake, it just makes it plain wrong. He has admitted he was wrong, and that he knew it was wrong. I just can't justify what he did in any regards. But, kudos to you die hard fans who can forgive and forget. I just ... can't. I can't forgive a person who slaughtered defenseless animals instead of finding them good homes. I think he got off easy.

I agree. He got off way to easy. If person can do hese nasty things to an animal that can't fight back, I would hate to think what they could do to a person.
I aso think that if he were a common person like you or I, he would have gotten a much harsher sentence and it wouldn't have gotten the media attention it has. Guess that is what fame and fortune get ya.

I felt let down by MV's actions, having met him once on a flight back from Atlanta. MV was well-mannered, polite, and inconspicuous - all of which impressed me greatly for a young man who had reached the big time in the sport of football and had come from a very humble background. MV had a seat in first class and a friend of his had a seat back in 'cattle' with the rest of us. It was a full flight and rather than make a spectacle of himself, Vick quietly waited to see who was sitting next to his friend. It turned out to be an elderly black lady, to which Vick very politely explained his situation and offered to switch seats with the lady. The lady accepted Vick's offer and sat in first class and Vick sat with his friend amongst the rest of us. But never did he attempt to use his celebrity to influence the situation and he never identified himself. I thought very highly of MV having witnessed this back in 2003. Clearly, his 'other' friends held too much sway over him and that led to his downfall.
