Ok, this Whole Palin thing is getting kind of Crazy.  Since I have been away from the Internet for a Few Days..it appears it's all anyone can talk about.   So here is my 2 cents...

First, Inexperience...please.  If you are talking about Obama or Palin I personally could care less.  This Country was founded by People who had never run a Nation or held a High political Office.  Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson.....None had been President before, So they were Inexperienced.....if we had the Media of Today then...None of them would have gotten Elected....and we would have re-instated the King of England...since he had all the Experience.....

The 17-year old Pregnant Daughter......Again....What Age did you all on this Blog start having Sex???    ......Be Honest...Just because you used "Safe" Methods... ....and Just because you didn't get pregnant or inpregnate someone else..just means you got lucky....it could have happened to most of us.......so Please people....lets be mature...leave the canidates Kids Alone....argue Issues not Child Rearing....

Obama and Palin are Americans...unknonwn Americans at First but it appears they were picked by their respective parties...so Oh well...  They Both have Different Personal Beliefs...but then who doesn't...either you agree with them or not....so what.....look at what they Bring.....look at their Positives or Negatives...but Please..let it be on Issues.....not Personal Attacks....

My fear is that this is going to turn into a Gender/Race issue......  Instead of Real Issues....

Now if either one gets elected..it's a Historical Event...that should excite everyone...   These Folks are Americans....   and Everyone makes mistakes...  So Lets Stop acting like we are all so Perfect...and rate these canidates on the Issues....or maybe pass a Law mandating Blindfolds for everyone..so we can rate these Canidates on the Issues...instead of appearance............

If it was a Obama/Palin Ticket  and a Mccain/Biden Ticket......who would you vote for then??   The New People or the Old Established??  Who cares...

Lets get to the Nitty Grittty....  not the Childish...bs.....

Politicians are Corrupt, Liars...that usually do nothing they Promise... while stealing our Freedom, and Property...while telling us it's good for us.......All of them..

But all we can argue about is if a Woman's Pregnat daughter...dis-qualifies her for Vice-President.....wow....    Stop the Ride I want to get off.....

Going to turn into a campaign about race/gender issues? Man, it has been about the BS since the begining. I would give anything for them to get on the track about what they are going to do for us.
Who cares about the kids or wives or color or gender. Well, seems a lot of people do. We need the bar opened again patch, because I need many many double shots at the moment!

Thats why they are directing the whole campaign toward race and gender....it distracts the American people away from the real issues at hand.

A year ago all people spoke about was high gas prices and all the foreclosures, now it's race and sex. I don't care about race or sex, I care about the future of me and my family.

Our politial system is nothing more than hate filled GOTCHA . They never tell how their going to do all the things they say they will do .
I could care less if a person is 1/4 black , 1/4 white , 1/4 brown and 1/4 yellow . If they can get the job done .
This I do know , When anyone starts name calling , finger pointing and talking load . They are scared and have something to hide .

It's turning into a Menagerie..... I don't think politics will ever be like it was in the 60's......

Remember the song " Dirty Laundry ".......
There are not too many in the world that has not had or thought about having sex at 17... But if you are the daughter of the vice presidential candidate or govenor then expect to have the whole world know about it.....

Well Patch, it looks like you have a lot to learn about politics. Negative AD's, by McCain accusing Obama for the high gas prices, making higher Tax's on the American public.
Issues, well the real issue comes down to this, In Whom Do You Put Your Trust..? Oboma or McCain?
Health care, higher fuel prices, job loss, cost of living out of control, the Iraq war, mortgage failures, bank failures, the national debt sky rocketing through the roof, stock market fraud, Identity theft, credit card debt, and a lot more problems then we really want to admit to as a nation.
To say this election is about race is true, to say it is about gender, that too is true. To say how we should judge these people applying for the jobs of President and Vice President of these United States is Wrong..!
We judge these people on moral issues, ability, and ideas. To represent us the people of the United States.
If I find McCain/Palin to be better suited for the job I will vote for them. If I find Oboma/Biden better suited I will vote for them. Until then, I will Judge them all on their moral, social, and intellectual ability to govern this great nation of ours.

Where is it written in the Constitution that The President Is Santa Claus,a king , a Czar or a Dictator..
I always thought the Presidency was the safety
valve for his party and a puppet for the parties ideals...
That why I admire these presidents, and in my opinion ,there only been 6 great people Presidents. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe,Abraham Lincoln ,my favorite Theodore Roosevelt,Thomas Woodrow Wilson.

These six had a common theme ,during their presidency there was opposition on policys from their own parties..

Harry Truman said, "just be honest and it will be like hell for the Republicans".
The best people President from Missouri was President Anderson. A man who stood for moral justice, honest government and kept the country safe for his full term. (24 hours)

Littlebow, The Blog was leaning towards Bloggers, Political Parties have always Run Hate Filled , In accurate Ads...but if We, The People buy into that garbage and don't hold the Politicians feet to the Fire on the real Issues...then the system has failed...the Politiicans love to divide and Conquor the Citizens of this Country...keep us distracted to what is going on....so they can keep playing their Games...

By the Way..there are alot more Chocies than Obama or Mccain..or Republican or Democrat..and until the people of this Country realize this...there won't be any Change in Washington...Ever...The two party scam is working for the Politicians...none of them ever rock the Boat enough to change anything..they rock it just enough to make us think they do...lol

Okay I'll bite. I never saw a 'President Anderson' on my list of presidents in school and haven't heard of him before. Apparently he was a vice-president standing as president when another was sick or injured, I'm guessing Harding but I don't know.

The only Anderson I can think of ran for President on the Independant ticket after he had a falling out with the Republican party....

He was from Illinois though.......

I agree with not judging Mrs. Palin by the pregnancy of her daughter. I don't think Republicans would have let it slide as much had the situation been reversed, but I still won't judge her for that.

What bothers me more is the usual image projected by the Republican party that this is just an "average soccer mom" - a leader and mother, not unlike the average American mom!

Just this morning, I saw a video on Fox of her in her camouflage firing a high-powered automatic rifle so powerful it made her head jerk. Average American Mom? "Soccer mom"??? I don't think so.

I know lots of average American moms, many of them literally soccer moms, yet I've never seen any of them don their camouflage and shoot big guns.

I think this image and this alone should be enough to convince us that, once again, the Republicans don't represent you and me but the rich, rural landowner - not the average working man and woman, but the privileged radical militant fringe element of our nation.

I think Mrs. Palin does represent a woman who certainly does exist in this country - just not in large enough numbers to be truly "representative" of the average woman in America.

I think this choice for a VP sends a strong and very obvious signal about who the Republican party represents.

And it's not MOST of us.

I am a mother of 2 and I have put on my camouflage to go hunting with my husband. Albeit it was hard to keep perfectly quiet giving that I'm a girl and we talk a lot....but that doesn't make me any less average than any other mother out there.I don't know if you've paid much attention, but Palin comes from a middle-class family. She doesn't work with the big oil companies...she fights against them. I think the main reason Democrats attack on Republicans involving money and the riches is because they are not happy with what they have for themselves.

I'm sorry, I need to correct myself.
David Rice Atchinson, President of the United States for 24 hours.
born August 11, 1807 - died January 26,1886
Served as President of United States in 1849.
His grave is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Plattsberg, Mo.
To me the most honest president we have ever had. When asked if anything else was needed to insure the union of this nation? He replied "No.. I'll just go to sleep."

Q: Will you support funding for abstinence-until-marriage education instead of for explicit sex-education programs, school-based clinics, and the distribution of contraceptives in schools?
A: Yes, the explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support.

Quote from Sarah Palin.

Why is it that we continue to teach abstinence only in schools? We need to teach our children that it is best to wait but also provide them with the knowledge and the know how to avoid teen pregnancy and the spread of STD’s. Children are going to have sex regardless; we cannot stop that. Abstinence only is an out dated way of thinking. With teen pregnancies on the rise isn’t that proof enough that we need to do something more? Maybe if Palin would have tought her daughter proper ways to avoid getting pregnant instead of saying don't have sex until you are married then her daughter wouldn't be pregnant right now.

Of all the teen girls I've known that got pregnant, they all claim to have used some form of birth control. But I have yet to witness an immaculate conception.

Sarah Palin's daughter knows all about immaculate conception. She learned it from her gun sling mommy.
Keep the folks in Alaska dumb and my family dumber is Sarah view.
Only God makes babies and that is a well know fact according to the Bible.
Heck, why even have public schools is her view. Just save the taxpayer some money and have the taxpayer keep their dumb kids at home and teach them their selves.
Now that is a view of a good Republican. Because George Bush has under funded the entire public school system in this country since he and the Republicans have been running it since 2000. The "No Child Left Behind Program" leaves all the children behind.
The Republicans scream "Home School your Kids..!" While millions of Americans are left with not being able to stay at home to school their children.
The secular Home School idea has many flaws and creates a class society. The Have's and Have's Not's...!
In Missouri our state Moto is "United We Stand - Divided We Fall."
Under the Republican home school plan, we will become divided and our nation will fall.

1. YOU'RE talking race and gender. And pounding the "liberal media" drum into the ground. Albeit passive aggressive at times. (That's the move)
"Folks" who aren't neo-cons are actually just wondering who she is. As she wasn't heard of until one week ago by most people. I get that, by the way. Now you act as if she's running for President. Because she's pro-life and a lifetime younger than the sellout McSame?
2. Given that she is a strong ABSTINENCE ONLY proponent her unwed pregnant 17 yr. old is an issue.
You don't understand that?

"But war, in a good cause, is not the greatest evil which a nation can suffer. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse. When a people are used as mere human instruments for firing cannon or thrusting bayonets, in the service and for the selfish purposes of a master, such war degrades a people. A war to protect other human beings against tyrannical injustice – a war to give victory to their own ideas of right and good, and which is their own war, carried on for an honest purpose by their free choice – is often the means of their regeneration. A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. As long as justice and injustice have not terminated their ever-renewing fight for ascendancy in the affairs of mankind, human beings must be willing, when need is, to do battle for the one against the other." - John Stuart Mill
