hey guys,
my name is tamara i am 17 and trying to find some help for my uncle who was completely okay 9 months ago but now is paralized on his left side and is now depending on his family to help him. his name is frank simpson. he has alwyas been like a dad to me.
so let me tell you what happened: my uncle is diabetic and he was taking some kind of medication that messed up his heart. so he ended up having a stroke so he was in the hospital for about 8 months. while he was in the hospital the doctors left him unattended and he fell out of his chair and hit his head and they had to put stiches above his eyebrow. about 6 hours later he had another stroke because of the fall (he fell on his head). so that stroke paralized him on his left side he can talk and eat thats it. he cannot use the restroom or change himself. he has to be watched 24/7. He stays in his bead everyday, he gets no enteraction with other family members unless they go to him...but anyways they started physical therapy but the doctors gave up and sent him home. we don't know how long he will be here. he is only in his 40's he has three teenage daughters that take care of him but they wont always be there. He lives in a two story house that he rents with his three daughters and ex-wife and her boyfriend. its two stories and that means that my uncle can not be with his family. because it is to hard to lift him up and down stairs. My adopted dad and I came up with a plan to instal an elevator for him right off the back deck...i am studying to be an architect and my dad is a master mechanic so we have the brain and will power we just need to find the resources to use. we need to pretty much rebuild the deck from scratch. the deck sets about 20 feet off the ground and there are stairs that need to be moved so we can hook the elevator to the house. we have to move some electrical stuff and widen a door way so he can fit his chair through the door. so i was wondering if there was any help out there to make my uncle comfertable and keep him here as long as posible. so if any one can help by donating time, supplies, money or even price barganing on the supplies you can e-mail me...at tamrapresley@yahoo.com
Thank you so very much and God bless...
