I have read alot of negative things about NAFTA. But just read Bush supports NAFTA.

"And, you go down to that border today, it is prosperous on both sides of the river, to the credit of those who proposed NAFTA and to the credit of those who got NAFTA through the Congress."  President Bush--  Full story here

He states it would be bad for our economy to pull out of NAFTA and the dems who started it want it gone- so what is the truth?

Any opinions?

Does anyone remember what women in movies looked like back in the eighties? Their skin had flaws, OMG they had cellulite, their breast were small, and by todays movie standards overweight. Fast foward to 1990, women are remarkably thinner, some have breast implants, cellulite is disappearing, and skin seems to be glowing. Fast forward to today, hair extensions, fake eye-lashes, breast, butt, cheek, calf implants, some actually had surgery to make them taller, lip injections, chemical peels, botox, etc... Oh yeah, the computer age allows any flaw to be erased by the simple click of a mouse.  What? You mean these women are not perfect?

The young do not understand as they are going through that icky "awkward" period that without surgery and computer enhancements they can never look like a movie star. Many question themselves and develop low self-esteem leading to numerous emotional issues including an eating disorder which has a 20% mortality rate and the decision to go under the knife. Just recently a teenager in Florida lost her life in the name of vanity. She died having her breast fixed because they weren't symetrical. When does all of us come together and say enough???

Perfection should be in our soul and health not in our apperance.

War

War is a silent rumble I'd like to call death row.

Many a soldier has given their life for peace and end of torture.

Our brave die many and violen but their souls are lifted high.

Trumpets play and life goes on. You can set your mind to anything because our few and proud.

We are left to march on proud and live what we have been given.

But only the dead have seen the end of war, the silent rumble I'd like to call death row.

This will be short and I may be naive but here goes.

It seems to be a trend that people will elect Republicans for a few terms then elect Demacrats for a few terms (mostly to right what the other party has done). They blame eachother for everything bad and fight for the credit of what went right.

Also, it seems a politician has to be all right or all left. They can't just say ok I believe this way plain and simple even if it doesnt follow their party line. If they do they are crucified and not a true democrat or republican and a trader to their party. Look at whats happened to John McCain. He's not conservative enough sreams the likes of Rush. Oddly enough he is the Republican Party nominee.

To me it seems logical to come together, quit bickering, give a lil, and take a lil. I don't mean create a third party but just for a minute for the best intersts of our nation, GET OVER OURSELVES and act like adults.

There are heroes among us, some go unnoticed, and some receive the recognition they deserve for putting their lives on the line to protect our lives and freedom.  As America citizens we have the constitutional right to voice opinions, positive or negative. The "War Against Terrorism" has sparked many diverse opinions. However, no matter the opinion, loved ones have been lost and continue to die for the freedoms Americans put to use everyday.  Regardless of the controversry surroundind the war, those who are serving in the military deserve the respect of the American people - those who can speak without fear of persecution as they please. Putting a face with the mission sheds some realistic light on the people that sacrifice their lives and leave families behind everyday. ( My brother for me almost everyone sees a face)The U.S. occupied Iraq in an attempt to establish a new governmental regime. However, the coalition was unsuccessful at restoring order to the entire country, leading to a rough warfare with the Iraqi attacks and civil warfare between Sunni and Shia Iraqis. The causes and consequences of the war remain controversial. The morale of soldiers overseas and in the states is constantly wavering. The dedication and heart that is shown through the brave men and women should be acknowledged and appreciated. Americans should show their local troops how much they are appreciated even if it's just a pat on the back
