Hi Score is the ultimate gaming center featuring Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 and a retro room with all the old systems. (atari, nintendo, sega and more).  They have over 375 games to choose from and offer tournaments, birthday parties, lock-ins, and individual play.  Hi Score is one of only 4-5 centers in the United State and we are lucky to have them right here in Hampton Roads.  If you have not checked it out yet you should.  It has something for everyone and your kids will love it.  Saturday August 9th they have a Multi Touirnament Party day complete with a local radio station doing a live broadcast, Game stop, chick fil, Monster Energy drinks, door prizes, raffles, and more.  Check it out!  

I'm looking for a paper shredding company for disposal of personal papers, etc.  Are there any companies that provide this service to my home?  Is there a schedule to find out where Shred-it visits?  Farm Fresh's in suffolk and NN are too far to drive...looking for when it will come to norfolk

The Director, U. S. Fleet Forces Band, wishes to invite all members of the Hampton Roads Community to performances by the U. S. Fleet Forces Band’s ”Four Star Edition” Contemporary Music Ensemble followed by the U. S. Fleet Forces Wind Ensemble on July 4th, 2008 at Town Point Park in Downtown Norfolk.  Four Star Edition will take the stage at 6PM, and the Wind Ensemble will perform at 8PM.  The evening’s performances will be concluded by Norfolk’s annual Fireworks show.

Well, well, well.  American Idol has come to a close and David Cook has emerged victorious!  I didn't pick him to win it all, but two of my original picks for the top three made it to the top three!  Syesha and David Archuletta.  When I made my top 12 predictions David Cook had not yet put the throwdown on us.  We hadn't seen Billy Jean yet.  Had he done that... I most certainly would have had him winning it all!  The finale was awesome and I am actually looking forward to seeing what this batch of Idol contestants canpump out for music lovers to buy.  But now that David Cook is going to Disney World, what will I do with my Tuesday and Wednesday nights? It's barely over and already I'm having Idol and reality show withdrawal symptoms!

Summer television is not what it used to be -- the boring movie re-runs and lame re-runs of fall and spring shows are gone.  Now we have new television exclusively for the summer!  Which means, being the tv addict that I am, I will never get a chance to really enjoy the outdoors!  Alright, maybe I'm overreacting!  I do have three TiVos after all!

So what are looking forward to in summer TV?

So You Think You Can Dance (season 3 for a favorite show), The Mole (one of my favorites is back!), Wipeout (a new competition show for ABC), America's Got Talent (can a ventriloquist take it again?), Million Dollar Password (stakes on that old show just got substantially higher!), Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List (love love love Kathy!), Celebrity Family Feud (that could be super fun!) and Big Brother!

Just curious as to how many watched/are watching the program on PBS titled "Carrier" this week about Navy Aircraft Carrier USS Nimitz?  I have been watching it, and so far, am fairly pleased with it.  I have learned some things that I wasn't familiar with, didn't know, and saw parts of a ship I didn't get the chance to before.  For the most part, the Nimitz isn't much different than the might G Dub that my husband is a part of.

I have to admit though, I am a bit disappointed that there was so much coverage about aviation and aircraft.  I realize that these ships are floating runways, and aircraft carriers are mainly about aviation.  And if it were not for the fact for me having a direct connection, perhaps I would know no different.  I just thought there would be more coverage about other shops/departments, and so on.  I am enjoying the program though, and plan on purchasing the entire set as my children don't get to stay up that late to watch it.

I hope you have had a chance to see it.  I do think that PBS will re play it.  So, if you've missed it, please check your local listings and watch the program.
