It was an afternoon full of silliness on Friday, March 28, 2008.

Main Street in downtown Norfolk was filled with people who came out during the lunch hour to watch residents and local business people in their goofiest costumes, participate in the annual Doo Dah Parade.

The perfect event just before April Fool's Day!

PETA, The Salvation Army, and The Norfolk Convention And Visitor's Bureau were just some of the participants. The Norfolk CVB actually won first prize for creativity and of course, silliness.

Check out some of the pictures. Oh, and yours truly was one of the judges again this year. How do you like my hat and sunglasses?

Come out next year and act a fool with us!

Hey, it's Nicole Livas. You can see me weeknights anchoring the news on WAVY-TV 10 at 5 and 5:30pm, and on Fox43 News at 10. I'm starting to get the hang of this new blogging world. I try to bring my camera with me when I go out into the community for different events. So be sure to check out my pictures and the info- and please jump in on the discussion! Thanks for watching- and logging on! ;-) Nicole
