TAXES Proposed changes in taxes after the 2008 General  election:
  
CAPITAL GAINS  TAX

MCCAIN         
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not  propose any change in existing home sales income  tax.


OBAMA   
28% on profit  from ALL home  sales
              
How does this affect you?  If you sell your home and make a profit,  you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement  and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28%  of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will  adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes  as part of their retirement  income.   
 
DIVIDEND  TAX

MCCAIN        15% (no change)
 
OBAMA         39.6%
       
How will this affect you? If  you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds,  life insurance,  retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests  dividends, you will now be  paying nearly 40% of the money earned on  taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax  rates  on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet  do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.'

INHERITANCE  TAX

OBAMA Restore the inheritance tax Many families have lost businesses,  farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations  because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their  assets to loved ones will only lose them to these  taxes.
 

NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY  OBAMA
 
New government taxes  proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet.
 
New  gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already)
 
New taxes  on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water,   electricity)
 
New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not  least....
 
New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can  receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

dhw1949 you are absolutly correct that the sheeple are dazzled by his forked tounge. It simply amazes me that they buy his crap after he has flipped flopped on so many issues its ridiclous, and he cant even give one reasonable example of his so called "change" that he claims he wants for this country, of course if he was to reveal his real agenda he would not get even 1 vote come November.

littlefoot1979 yes he is a nightmare and the American people had better wake the F*#K up before they get eaten alive by the monster called dummycrat. Pelosi and her brood in Congress are the reason this country is well on its way into the ground, if Obama get the election that will just seal the deal and I might have to become Canadian.

dhw1949 dont believe I will be living in Panama City, I too have had friends visit there and told me bad things about the place. I prefer beach front property any way and I lov lov lov Rums it is my first choice in beverages, so that may work out for the better. when do we depart? LOL

tweety there are people out there that have lived generation breeding another generation breeding another on welfare (thank-you dummycrats)and have enjoyed the "freedom" that kind of life style entails. Having more children just to raise their annual income level(as pathetic as that is!)what scares me the most is that Obama seems to think that we need to flip the bill to put the whole WORLD on welfare simply to eliminate poverty worldwide. This is NOT the change I want for this country. To eliminate poverty in this world you must first start by eliminating POLITICAL CORRUPTION. Some of these 3rd world country that are strife with corruption are also some of the most impoverished nations and I for one do not want to be sending them my hard earned tax money. Untill you take that away I do not want to givwe one single dollar to ending poverty.

dhw1949, Im ready to go now buddy, I will sell all my belongings or will give them to goodwill just to fly away from this chicken coup. I want a hammock on the beach under my arse and a pina colada in my hand. Yo-BLEEP yo-BLEEP its a pirate's life for me. Im not that much (less than 10yrs)younger than you are and I seriously do not think I will see and of the thousands of dollars I have paid into SSI through out my liffe, and if I do get Social Security income it wont be enough money to supply me with toliet paper for a month. So I hope that works out better for you. If you and your wife do decide to go will you let me know.
