Excellent post Native. It is so simple and I don't feel it's discriminatory at all. Libs demand that every person have the "right to choose". So, if one chooses not to work then I say hand them a dixie cup.

Urine tests and drug laws are for the poor.

I haven't taken a urine test for over 5 years. People with 'cool jobs', you know the people who get tax cuts, don't have to take urine tests. If we want to do drugs, we'll do it responsibly. And, let's face it, the expensive stuff, good roads, parks, schools that are paid through tax dollars goes to us. We just pacify you with welfare, etc.

Amen native, the politicians are so out of touch with real people its pathetic. They just can't relate. They vote in their own raises, where did that come from.....I never got to do that at my job. They should also get the same kind of retirement we get, why should they make more after they retire than they do in office and what's with their health care???
They only have to serve one term to get full retirement?? I just can't believe how all this was allowed to happen........we just sat around and said ok.
My husband was always saying we need a regular guy to get into politics, someone like us. When he heard Todd Palin's interview with Fox, he found his guy, but he's the 'first dude' so he won't make policy....I hope Sarah remembers where she's come from and gets something done for the little guy. A regular guy/gal can't afford to run for office, you have to have $$ or friends with $$, that's where the problems start. It needs to be easier and cheaper to run for office.

What do you consider a cool job? Oh maybe your hairdresser or manicureist wait wait maybe your rich boyfriend and I say that cause being your boyfriend is a full time job. I mean look at all the things he has to do you. Like make sure you dont chew gum and talk at the same tiem god forbid you should choke, or maybe hold your hand when your walking so you can talk at the same time and not trip. I think it would be a great idea Native...and it would create more jobs too, Pee Checkers, we had them in the military, why not for civilians? It would have to be a minimum wage job tho, cant think of any real defining qualifications for it, but have run across a few posters that sound just perfect.

I don't think anyone should have to take a pee test to prove they are innocent. I don't think marijuana should be illegal either. I don't think that we should be popping synthetic drugs made by companies who are so concerned with profit they use sweat shops and other disgusting manufacturing plants in China.

PD, FD, teachers, etc. have a salary ceiling which is why some of those people are lured into criminal activity in order to be 'cool' enough to make what they are worth (unless they are just do gooders and I commend those people b/c I don't lean left far enough to be part of a socialist institution). SO, I would argue that those are not 'cool' jobs (unless you are a do gooder).

Now, let's be honest, you all. Do you think lawyers and doctors take pee tests? And if they did, don't you think they would be smart enough to realize that you are permitted to have a small amount of THC in your urine and still pass. They would also know that how long it stays in your system depends on your metabolism, how much you smoke and how much you drink fluids. Heck, I can assure you that 1. the pee test places don't test all of the pee to save money (so if you look normal, like me, you are in the clear) or 2. THC doesn't stay in your system longer than 36 hours even if you smoke regularly).

So the pee test is nothing more than an exhibition of power of the boss over its subordinates and your willingness to acknowledge and embrace that b/c you either have no choice or have a different understanding of AMerica than I do.
