Where Have All The Blogs Gone?

As I have blogged before, we moved back to the midwest last summer.  I blog here to keep up on what's going on where the many friends we made are still living.  I blog on the local myfox4 site in KC.  The action there is crazy compared to this site, so I'm wondering why there isn't much action on the Hampton Roads site.  I blog for many reasons, and wonder if perhaps it hasn't caught on there, or if there are other reasons.  Just curious!  So, if you have any thoughts, let me know!  Visit  our myfox4 site and click on blogs to check out how busy our site is.  I think you'll be surprised!  Sometimes our site can be real fun, other times it gets hectic and horrible, but as with anything, you have to take the good with the bad.  Here is the site  http://www.myfoxkc.com/myfox/pages/News;jsessionid=FD9

redhotz, your right, at 11AM my time your site had almost 2k user logged on. It would take a in depth study to even come up with much more than theories, just a quick unqualified observation would be the lack of editing in KC. Bloggers there don't seem to hesitate in stating their point of view on anything, confronting someone else's point of view, or being confronted. Have you seen the contest that is being run here in Hampton Roads? I hope it helps bring this site to life or at least give it a pulse.

I haven't seen the contest. You have sparked my interest, I'm off to figure this out! You should see the numbers at midnight central time. Maybe it's cuz we Kansans aint got nuttin better ta do! lol

Oh yeah, to me that would be a dream, I am concerned about editing and censoring. It my be a nightmare and of course that might keep me from being selected. I e-mailed them about promoting the site and maybe using bloggers for op-ed segments on the 10PM news hour. I'm not saying this is what came out of it but. I do love being read so this would be great. I'm approaching 1500 reads and that feels good just wish I'd get more comments, maybe my style doesn't encourage remarks. Wish me luck. Thanks

May each of you take one day at a time. Enjoy your children, spouses and family. Never taking anything for granted. Life is short, life is what you make of it. Live every day like it's your last. The countdown continues...We are at 2 weeks until our sailor comes home! Our family has been so fortunate not to face an overseas deployment, and to that I thank the Lord! To those who have faced, are faced with, or facing a deployment, I pray for you all. May your loved ones be blessed with peace and safety. And most of all, I thank you and your loved one for serving our country!
