I must admit that I'm not an avid AI watcher.  However, tonight I happened upon the program and sat down to watch.  David Cook is incredible.  Anyone who talks trash on him should be ashamed.  While I don't know all that much about him personally, just from tonights performance, he ROCKED the stage!  I hope that he goes on and wins this competition.

Finally, a sane voice. A little background: Apparently, one of David's brothers auditioned for AI and talked David into also auditioning. David had previously released a homemade CD with the band Axium called "Analog Heart" and once people became acquainted with David Cook's superior covers of other artists songs and his phenomenal performances, they started buying his CD and it became #1 and outsold Mariah Carey's #1, and then AI pulled it from the market. So now, people are "Hungry Like The Wolf" for more of David Cook's music. I heard that his "Analog Heart" was selling on e-bay for $358... Also, did you notice the author of "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" bowed to David Cook in reverence because he did such a great job on the song? Also, everyone was on their feet for a standing ovation for David Cook. I'm surprised by some of the negativity I have seen from some of the hometown people toward David, but there's always going to be people like that, I guess. I know times are hard, but everyone needs to get away sometimes and recoup with good music, and that is exactly what David Cook does exceptionally well!

I was ecstatic when they announced the results tonight! I teared up when they showed the part of "going home." He is just absolutely incredible, and maybe it's my hometown heart coming out, or from being raised traditionally, but those who are nay'sayers should be ashamed. Maybe they are jealous. Who knows, who cares, the show goes on without them! I hope we see him in the #1 spot!

Last night was the first time I watched AI this year. When he sang "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", I was awe struck. The result show, tonight, was great. I don't see how he can possible lose. He has more maturity than the other David. His laid back, humble persona, coy maturity lends to his charm.

Not to mention that David Cook doesn't have a friggin loon for a dad that gets kicked out of the show! I wonder if David Archuletta is going to blame is dad for part of his losing to David Cook, which we all know DC is going to win!

Lady, David A. is just immature enough to do just that. Even though it doesn't have anything to with whether he wins or not. He doesn't have a bad voice, he just lacks the maturity, both in talent and his personality. He's still a giddy kid.

Correction: It was the author of "Don't Want to Miss a Thing" D. Warren who was out in the audience sitting with Cook's family who stood to her feet (as did everyone else) and bowed to David acknowledging her approval of a job well done on her song! Sorry for the mistake, but I've corrected it now!

It warms my heart to read all of these blogs. Way to back up DC folks! Love all of you! Squirrelly--out!

This is from a blogger on www.rickey.org site: (re: David Cook is playing on radio in Phillipines)

"Yup, I’m confirming that DC is playing on AT LEAST 3 of the most popular radio stations plus he is on top of the charts in at least 2 of those. The first one to play ABMB is the most popular radio station here. They’ve had it on top of their daily countdown for well that’s 3 weeks now. "

Can you say, "INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR DAVID COOK"?

Another blogger writes: "People around the world are already putting Cook’s version of song on the radio (especially the Philippines) and on TV commercials (Israel). I’m not worried about his success – win or lose this Idol thing." DC on commercials in Israel! WOW!

Yep, even if he lost, which I really don't see happening, he'll still be popular and will do well for himself! Does anybody know what type of a job he had before all this? I saw something about him being a bartender, is that true? Was that full time?

I'M WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT THE SONGS WILL BE FOR THE FINALS?

I heard that one of DA's songs is out there, but I haven't heard anything about any of David Cook's 3 songs. David was a bartender, not sure how many hours he worked per week, but that was his job. I'm really glad that DC tried out for AI. He almost didn't make it, because Simon said "NO!" to Hollywood while Paula and Randy said "YES!!!" Simon changed his tune after DC wowed him with all his #1 I-tune hits! Not sure how Simon didn't see the potential in DC's first audition--I watched it and it was typical DC--rocker, full blown, and on key with a vibrato, of course! He blew me away with his audition! The only thing Simon originally had to say was that he didn't see DC doing well without the guitar to hide behind...boy was Simon wrong!

One more thing...Simon now says that DAVID COOK SHOULD AND WILL WIN AI!!!

excerpt from www.rickey.org:
Cookies, about that “international star” thing? Well, here’s DC’s “Billie Jean” in an Israeli TV promo. People here have been asking left and right who’s cover that is. They LOVE it.
