Hoping for the best...for Ted Kennedy

In this world we live in there are things that truly unite us as Americans. What is happening to Ted Kennedy is tragic and I am truly hoping for the best for him and his family. It is when things like this happen we can look past the political roadblocks that are there and wish a fellow human being well that is sick.. It matters very little if one is of one policical party or another when things like this happen. We can all hope and pray and leave it in the power that is mightyer than all of us. Best to you Ted Kennedy.

I've always had a problem looking past 1968 and Mary Jo. Now he's sick and his position is human again. I was talking with this elderly lady at the bus stop about Ted, and she was praising his accomplishments and I saw a aspect I'd never permitted myself to see. We were waiting for different buses but both spent about an hour together, we were reading THE DAILY BREAD together and the disscussion of how God uses what people see as bad or tragic to accomplish His will. The thought came to me that that might be what happen with Ted and Mary Jo. It could be that Ted became the politician he is today because of what happened. It is ironic that while Ted is fighting the fight of his life and receiving accolades from both parties of congress, they may be killing him by not passing medical marijuana laws. Marijuana has been proven to cut off the blood flow to the exact type of brain tumor Ted has. Testing and studies have been halted in America by the Fed. Gov. but continues in other counties. Maybe he should move to California. I wish him well.

I truly wish him well. I am probably agenst practically everything he stands for policically but even we do not like tragic events--as you correctly said God can use them in his will. It is in events like this whre the polical party affiliation does not mean squat. Even Ted Kennedy can turn around and see the conservative truth.We can hope and pray.
